A Russian Bihari Wedding..Well, I din’t think about it that way when I started talking to the bride first.
Anastasia got in touch with me quite a while back. The email was from one “Ana Singh” and post a few email exchanges, I started talking to Srikant who was based in Bangalore. Srikant and me ended up talking quite a lot and he explained the story behind the Wedding in Goa.
Anastasia and Srikant met in South Africa. Over the course of many years and many more hurdles they were planning to get married in Goa.
True to their plans, this Russian Bihari Wedding, was a cornucopia of celebrations. They had friends from nearly every continent in the world attend the wedding. Each one of them added their slice of culture and fun to this awesome wedding. Every ceremony (both Russian and Indian) was translated into Russian / English so that the guests understood what was happening.
I felt more a guest at this wedding than a photographer. The following set of images from this Russian Bihari Wedding are arguably some of my best work in a single wedding. I hope you enjoy these images as much as I did creating them. Do leave a comment if it strikes a chord !
